MEET BABA JAY- CRAWFORD'S CURRENT BEST FOOTBALLER

Popularly known as Baba J, He is one of Crawford University's finest footballers. He has performed extremely well in previous soccer competitions within and outside the school. He was awarded the second Best Player of the Tournament in the last edition of the Crawford University Departmental Games. He has represented Crawford University in soccer games on different occasions. He is a 400 Student of Business Administration and outside the shores of Crawford University; Jide plies his trade with Puma FC (a Lagos based Football Club).

Born Babatunde Folorunsho George and a native of Ogun state, Jide is a soccer Prospect whose playing position lies in the midfield. At a tender age, he cut his teeth as a promising soccer player whose quality only got better daily. For Him, Football has always been his childhood passion and ambition. Recalling, he narrated “I started playing football at the age of four and I was playing with older siblings. These dudes were bigger than me but I still shone above them.” Ostensibly, Football is a talent in him, talent which he is accentuating and of which he is not ready to slow down.

His football exploits can only be adjudged to be on a progressive as he aims to be a professional soccer player. On the field of play, Dexterous skills, fearless runs, daunting dribbles and dogged tenacity are the commons with him whenever he is in action. To go by history, Jide is usually the pick of the Match on match days in Crawford University during soccer games. He is that good!!

As a budding football player, Jide has quite a sizeable history of achievements, most of which were personal.

 In his high school years, He won the award of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for three years consecutively.
He was the first football player to score 21 goals in 7 games in the history of his high school.
He won two major trophies in the “HITV Football Cup”
In the same “HITV Football Cup”, He was awarded the “Best Midfielder” of the tournament
In the MILO football Tournament, He won the “Playmaker Award”.

Jide believes that asides from self belief, hard-work, determination and discipline being the basic elements of getting to the top, God remains the principal factor. For him, the basic essence of existence physically here on earth is “Being able to survive in all aspects of life from the scratch”.

On a personal level, Jide is a reserved, jovial and polite dude; He cherishes loyalty and love and honestly despises lies and disloyalty. Little wonder why despite his affable personality and endearing character, Jide doesn’t have a thing for Girls. According to him, “I would rather remain private about my relationship life”.

Jide hopes to be a business mogul later in life, but primarily, being a professional footballer is what his focus is on.
