The game was a close one between both teams as NESA sought to earn their first three points after losing its first match to NABAMS, while NACOSS went into the game determined to earn three maximum points.  The game started by 5 pm with Mr. Seun as the Regular referee and Cool Joe with Precious were the linesmen for the game. Moh (300L) was the captain for NESA while Osas was the captain for NACOSS. Osas (400L) scored the first goal of the match from the penalty spot after a foul was made on a NACOSS player. Jide equalized for NESA from an unexpected shot which was directed at the NACOSS keeper. The NACOSS goalie was however slow to respond and the ball rolled home. GEMSSA DINNER AND AWARDS NIGHT........A WORTHY ONE

It was certainly super anticipated, being the pioneering association to start this session’s dinner and award’s night for the university. It was fun at least; I’ll just go on to the ratings:All categories for ratings are over 20% in total 100%. DECORATIONS: well since the monument garden was used as the venue, it wasn’t expected that the decorations would be overly elaborate as it would be super expensive for your department, but you did your best. So I’ll give you 17%. FOOD SERVICE: well this one category is one I have a lot to say about, I thought it was a buffet service dinner, apparently there’s a new definition for buffet service given by GEMSSA, “it’s a situation where you have geology students and invites line up to collect plates of food”. I wasn’t impressed by the taste of the food either so pardon me if your ratings don’t make you happy. Next set please do better. 10.5% EVENT ORGANIZATION: somehow I can’t begin to fathom how we have dinners without ushers in Crawford U
