Wednesday 3rd August witnessed the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta host different stakeholders to the Press Summit of the Union of Campus Journalists, FUNAAB Chapter. The Summit was part of a weeklong series of activities held by the FUNAAB Chapter of UCJ in celebration of its Annual week in the university. It was held in the Postgraduate Building of the University. Themed “The Role of the Media in National Development: A fight against Corruption and Unemployment”, the summit was attended members from the Crawford University Press Club, RockCity Media Group, Various Campus Bloggers, Freelance Writers, Mapoly Press, FUNAAB Radio, Iwe Irohin Newspapers etc. Speaking at the summit, Prof Helen Bodunde who is the Head of Department, Communications and General Studies FUNAAB counseled the participants on the ethics of Journalism especially in this century. Popularly known as Baba J, He is one of Crawford University's finest footballers. He has performed extremely well in previous soccer competitions within and outside the school. He was awarded the second Best Player of the Tournament in the last edition of the Crawford University Departmental Games. He has represented Crawford University in soccer games on different occasions.
