ATHLETICO FC IS THE NEW CRAWFORD UNIVERSITY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS…DEFEATS OPPONENT 6:1 TO WIN COVETED LEAGUE

“This is the best game that I have ever played in Crawford University”, those were the words of the Manager of ATHLETICO FC, David Ojediran popularly known as ATM, after his team won the latest edition of Crawford University Football League, popularly called ‘CRU La-Liga’ on Friday. The League which started in mid-November was wrapped up on Friday when the table-toppers, ATHLETICO FC defeated the AMAZING FC team in a 6 goals to 1 victory in what could be described as an unbelievable, unimaginable, unfeasible yet deserved victory for the winners. The win, which was the determinant of the league winner, was unarguably the best way for the Winners to have silenced their critics who had earlier in the league condemned ATHLETICO FC to a bad League outing. It was a shock to the whole Soccer-Community of Crawford University when after 90 minutes; the score-line was 6 goals to 1. It was stupendous!! It was flabbergasting!! It was colossal!!! It was…… Oh My God…..What more can I say??

Speaking after the game, ATM attributed the success of his team to a combination of hard-work and resiliency. He stated how demoralizing it was for his team after their poor run of form after their first three matches. He thanked the players and every fan of his team for their loyalty to and support for the team. The captain of the Team, Keshi, also echoed gratitude to God for the victory. In his words, “the match was just so easy for us, I never expected a score-line that wide, and nevertheless, we thank God for the Victory”. Other players in the team include, Ovoh (Ovohkovo), Joe (Usain Bolt of Crawford ), Aragbaye, Lanreh (Draco), Jideh, Apreh, Harrison, Michael, Moh, Ekpeh, and AY-Benson.
AMAZING FC, which comprised of mainly 400L students, was at a loss of words after the game. Their coach, Dolapo, was nowhere to be found after the match. (I searched the Hostel for this guy O, I no see am, e be like say him no fit believe the score-line!!). The Loss was never expected by them, they never envisaged a defeat not to talk of a wide score-line gap like 6-1. Unbelievable!!!  At a point, whilst the league was still ongoing they opted out of the league owing to some reasons but they later came back probably thinking that they would perform miracles and win the league. But, Alas!!!!! The case is a “Had we known we would not have come back to the League” case. They were whitewashed in-and –out. They were embarrassingly defeated and annihilated by ATM and His boys. They were schooled on the act and practice of real football. Hmmmm…….6:1, 6:1, 6:1, 6:1, 6:1, 6:1, 6:1, 6:1, 6:1!! Chai
The cash prize for winning the League is #20,000 (twenty thousand naira), which ultimately connotes that ATHLETICO FC got twenty thousand Naira for winning the League asides from the Golden trophy that was presented to them by the League Chairman, AFOLABI OLANIYI. A NEW VICE-CHANCELLOR FOR CRAWFORD UNIVERSITY

Crawford university has appointed a new Vice-Chancellor, Professor Isaac Rotimi Ajayi. This was made official at a send forth ceremony organized for three of its administrative members. They are: the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samson Ayanlaja: the former school bursar, Rev. E.O. Ajayi and the Outgoing School Counsellor Dr. E.O. Aramide. The send-forth was held on the 5th October 2015 at the school's multi-purpose hall.
